David and Angie Part Two....

David and Angie picked one of the most beautiful places in Michiana for their wedding, the beaches of Lake Michigan.  David proposed on Jean Klock Beach, so it was the natural place for their dream beach wedding.

I think she was a little excited to be marrying David! :)  LOVE it!

In our previous post about David and Angie I stressed that this was a fun bridal party.
Below is a request from the bride and groom that I was all to happy to oblige and test some of my photography skills...along with my Photoshop skills. ;)

The reception was also in St. Joseph Michigan.  While the theme was still sand dollars and the beach, the bride and groom added some Irish Flair by waling in their jerseys to the ND fight song!

I will end this wedding post with my favorite picture from the day.
Not many grooms are strong to lift his bride off her feet, and David did just that.
I wish these two a long and happy marriage!

David and Angie Part One...

One of the many pleasure of being a wedding photographer is to see two people not only totally in love, but also complete and fun friends.   These two moved me to tears with their love, and also had me laughing out loud with their fun personalities.   Saying I had fun with this bridal party is a understatement.

These two did not want to see each-other before the wedding, but had written each other letters.  Out helpful maid of honor and best man positioned them on either side of a column on their reception area.  It is one my all time favorite bridal moments as I captured them holding hands after reading their letters.

Sand-dollars were woven throughout the day, as they had a special meaning to this couple.
David also proposed on the beach whee the two were married.
Now who said only the girls can appreciate the bling of the ring?
We had a group of fun attitudes, and this is the fun I got when I asked for some "sassy".
And even in the fun, we found many breathtakingly beautiful moments.

Sammi Jo & Linda~Mother Daughter Photo Shoot

Back in may, Sammi Jo bought her mom  a gift certificate for a family session, which in my opinion is the best present you can receive! ;).  Linda is moving to Florida at the end of the month, so it was a prefect time to get some much needed mother and daughter time.  capturing this loving relationship was such a blessing to me!

Amanda and Mike ~June 2013 wedding

This wedding and reception took place at the beautiful Merrifield Park in Mishawaka.
With a rain and heat scare early int he day, the sun came out we could not have asked for better weather for this beautiful June wedding!

The boys wanted to show off their shoes once the girls did:)

Goffinet Family

Carin and her family won a free Mini-Session via a Facebook contest  back in the Spring. I was excited when she won because I have know her for awhile and her kiddos are adorable.  I knew her in MOPS when she was still expecting the littlest one, so it is fun to see them all growing up!

Some people call these outtakes, I call it a real family who has fun!
And yes they got the smiley all looking at the camera pictures, but this one was too fun not to share!

Kristin and Scott~Engagement Session

What a fun couple full of laughter and love.  I was cracking up half the time during the session, which bodes well for how fun their wedding will be! These two chose a fun spot in Mishawaka to have their engagement session, the 100 Center.  It is steeped in history and lots of great overgrown and fun locations.

We also took a short walk down to the St. Joe River for some nature shots.  These two were so at ease and enjoyed each other's company.  Having Scott get Kristin to laugh was super easy and made for great photos:)

Katy & Alex PART TWO Basilica of The Sacred Heart

After a beautiful ceremony at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, we were able to take take advantage of  the gorgeous June day on Notre's Dame's Campus, where the bride had just completed her Master's Degree just a month before.

After the ceremony, we were off to the fun Fiddler's Hearth for more Irish food and fun!
Local Irish band Kennedy's Kitchen provided the entertainment, while the guests dined on traditional Irish fare.

Katy & Alex PART ONE Basilica of The Sacred Heart

I had a fun day with this Irish wedding!
The ceremony was at gorgeous Basilica of The Sacred Heart on Notre Dame's Campus and the fun reception was at Fiddler's Hearth in Downtown South Bend. The family heritage and history was sprinkled throughout the day int he details and venues.

The thistles, lace, and beautiful red hair would the embodiment of Irish beauty on this gorgeous bride!

I loved the meaning behind this bouquet and the boutonnieres. The bride shared she included thistle in honor of her grandmother's heritage.
